This training is for anyone who has completed Unbound Basic Ministry Training and who wants to grow in effectiveness as a prayer leader, intercessor, trainer, or ministry leader. It is especially for anyone interested in transitioning to, and/or becoming more confident as prayer leaders.
Prerequisites:
- Complete Unbound Basic Training
- Read the Unbound Ministry Guidebook (recommended)
Agenda:
A series of topics will be discussed followed by practice sessions, which include:
- Our Identity in Christ: Knowing God’s Delight and Recognizing the Enemy
- Learning and Listening: Leaning on the Holy Spirit and Learning to Listen Deeply
- Humble Service: Humility and Foundational Patterns
- Moved by Compassion: Compassion, Intercession, and Speaking the Father’s Blessing
Presenter:
Tomas Herrera-Mishler, head of Unbound San Diego, will lead the training. He has served as an Unbound ministry leader for over twenty years, most recently in Buffalo, New York on their Unbound Deliverance Ministry Steering Committee. He currently gives Unbound presentations and workshops in Southern California.

This is a free event, however we would like to encourage donations of $30.00 to help us with the costs of materials, food and beverages. The policy of the Abba Father Institute is to never turn anyone away due to financial constraints.

More about the speaker:
Born in Mexico into a Catholic Lay Missionary family, Thomas spent much of his youth in Latin America where his parents served with the Catholic Family Movement doing social service ministry and are credited with offering the first Life in the Spirit Seminar in Spanish. They later translated the LISS manual to Spanish, where it is still in use. Thomas moved with his parents to Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1974 to form part of a Charismatic Covenant Community where he served for a time as a parish administrator for the Christ the King Parish, a Charismatic parish. He also volunteered for a year with Latin American Missions, a Charismatic outreach organization. Upon graduation from the University of Michigan in 1986 with a Masters in Landscape Architecture and Regional Planning, Thomas moved to Miami, Fl where he and his wife, the Honorable Mercedes Maria de la Kostka Herrera de Mishler, served as a music ministry leaders for Krygma, a Catholic missionary organization. In 1991-1992 Thomas and Mercedes volunteered for Father Dominic Rossi, founder of Bethesda Project for the Homeless in downtown Philadelphia, serving as the live-in staff at a residence for mentally ill women. Thomas was also the manager of a residence for men in Recovery while volunteering at Bethesda Project. While living in Philadelphia Thomas and Mercedes were members of the House of God’s Light Charismatic Community led by Neal Lozano and led the Spanish Deliverance Ministry Team. Thomas is the former leader of Buffalo Unbound and now serves on the steering committee for San Diego Unbound. In his spare time, Thomas works as the CEO and President of the Balboa Park Conservancy.
