WHAT IS THE INTERIOR CASTLE PROJECT
The Interior Castle is an immersive spiritual journey inspired by the profound teachings of St. Teresa of Avila, St. Faustina Kowalska, and St. Thérèse of Lisieux. This project aims to guide readers into a deeper connection with their soul and with Jesus, the Beloved, as they explore the intimate depths of their interior castle—a concept rooted in St. Teresa’s mystical writings.
The centerpiece of this project is a beautifully crafted book that intertwines a spiritual story with a transformative retreat experience. The narrative follows the journey of the Beloved, who, with Jesus as her guide, friend, and Beloved, discovers the rooms of her soul’s castle. Each room is a place of encounter, reflection, and growth, revealing truths about trust, surrender, prayer, and God’s unending love. From the cleansing waters of grace to the sanctuary of daily surrender, the Beloved’s story invites readers to walk alongside her and embark on their own spiritual pilgrimage.
In addition to the story, the book includes a self-retreat portion designed to deepen the reader’s engagement. This section offers reflections, meditative prompts, and spiritual exercises for each room of the castle, helping readers grow in their spiritual life and fostering a personal encounter with God in their interior castle.
To enhance this journey, the project is accompanied by original music composed by Justyna Ponulak. The music, crafted to evoke the serene and sacred atmosphere of the spiritual castle, serves as a meditative tool, drawing readers into deeper prayer and reflection as they navigate the pages of the book.

WHY THE INTERIOR CASTLE PROJECT?
If it is true, as Scripture and tradition affirm, that we are temples of the Holy Spirit—a dwelling place for God, His paradise—then the journey to discover this truth must be accessible to everyone. Not just to mystics like St. Teresa of Avila or St. Faustina Kowalska, whose extraordinary paths to intimacy with God inspire awe but may feel unattainable for the average believer. Most of us are deeply immersed in the noise and demands of the world, feeling too weak, distracted, or unworthy to explore the depths of our souls. How, then, can an ordinary person find their way to their interior castle, the sacred place where God desires to meet them?

The answer lies not in striving for impossible perfection but in embracing the simple truth: God desires an intimate relationship with every one of us. While we may not all attain the deepest chambers of the castle as described by St. Teresa, we can all begin to walk and talk with Jesus in the beautiful, personal world of our soul. He has prepared it for each of us—a place rich with His love and mercy, waiting to be discovered even in the midst of our daily lives.
